I am retired and spend a lot of my time alone, except for my several Boston Terriers. I have homes in Minnesota and Arizona. Escaping the piles of snow and bitter cold in winter is a luxury. Returning home to Minnesota each spring is a privilege. Having loving family in Arizona and caring friends in Minnesota is priceless.
From my father's lily garden these various colors emerge each summer. I'll be thinning these out in the next month or so. Anyone interested in some of these, just let me know.
You are so right - I have been remembering my father that way for years, but this is the year I have to do some thinning, as this obsessive remembering and treasuring and keeping these plants is becoming unruly. Is there any symbolism in that? I doubt it, yet . . .
Beautiful pictures. I love knowing the genealogy of the flowers in my garden. You will think of your father every time you see the blooms.
